2009-05-3 Our monthly write up will be talking about cleaning and refinishing outdoor play set and play set layout.
2009-04-11 This month I will be writing up a project on weeping tiles and an article on building a french drain.
2009-03-07 It's been a while since I added an entry here so today I make a entry on our new items. First the site has had a new look for sometime and yooBuild is on its third revision. Next yooBuild has forums called yooAnswers for asking and answering questions. Also, we have added a comments area where each article can be commented on. The last area of improvement is for going to be our pictures section that I just started working on today. This new photo area will house project ideas and or designs that users can use for their project ideas. The last and best part is that I am trying to make a commitment for more content with lots of good info. So starting this month I have an large article on tankless water heaters started and should be posted soon.
2008-09-01 Fixed the link mechanism so that the full site template is shown when user click links from a search engine. Working on getting links to show reviews/votes for contractors.
2008-08-01 Fixed numerous IE Errors and now the site should work better for IE users. Sorry for the inconvenience!
2008-05-01 Go live for version 2.0 of our site. We spent sometime on updating the site and there is still a ways to go but we felt that we could push out another version of site without compromising the content.
2007-12-10 Building a comment system for user comments on articles, contractors, product reviews, etc.
2007-10-23 We are now setting up a forums area for users and administrators to interact. We will be adding topics in the future. Check back in the future for updates (on hold).
2007-10-15 Go live today! We finished what we call version 1.0 of our site. It took about a year to layout, program, design and implement. We will not be stopping there as we intend to make continuous updates to improve user experience. Please feel free to use and send us feedback. Special thanks to mootool.net!
2007-09-30 Our DIY section is called UooBuildIt (You Build It). We have started to add informative articles and will add more to come in the future.
2007-09-27 Added a glossary (more items to come) and updated our advertising section on the right. Shortly we should be having DIY content which will include photos.
2007-08-07 Moving on... We will be moving out of beta soon. Probably a maximum of two months left to development.
2007-07-31 We have completed an indexing of approximately 4000 more builders. More to come in the next five months.
